Raquel Calderon, BA
Howdy! I am Raquel, a third year master’s student at Our Lady of the Lake University and supervised by Dr. Catalina Roads. People often refer to me as someone who is kind-hearted and empathetic—and also goofy and always smiling. I am gender affirming, culturally sensitive and strive to be adaptable to your needs when entering session. I look forward to exploring and being a step in your journey of growth.
Approach
My approach is strength-based, utilizing your inner and outer strengths, and resources rather than your shortcomings. My focus is to set up a positive mindset that helps you improve and build on your best qualities, improve resilience, and to re-frame and rewrite your story through changing the narrative. Therapy is not a one size fits all and every person, every family is different. I’m happy to walk beside you through your journey of growth and healing as I truly believe this process is a collaborative one. I want to provide you with a space where you can open up and feel heard, understood, and respected in a non-judgmental space.
